The Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) has decided to waive outstanding fines on overdue water bills for both residential and commercial customers. This relief program applies to fines accumulated up to December 31, 2025.
Under the established guidelines, the waiver will be granted to customers who settle their total principal outstanding balance in full between April 1, 2026, and the end of that year. Furthermore, while the option to pay in installments remains available, the fines will only be formally waived once the total balance is fully paid in accordance with the payment agreement.
