Bank of Maldives (BML) has clarified that no transaction fees are applied to any websites other than the previously designated e-commerce platforms, which include Temu, Shein, Alibaba, AliExpress, Lazada, and eBay. The Bank dismissed allegations circulating about a hidden 30% fee being charged on other transactions, labeling them as entirely baseless and false. BML emphasized that spreading such misinformation undermines public trust in the institution and poses a threat to economic stability. Consequently, the Bank has urged the public to rely solely on information shared through its official channels.
