President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has introduced significant reforms to the government’s administrative framework, including the establishment of the “Ministry of Climate Change, Environment and Energy.” As part of this restructuring, several existing ministries have been abolished, the titles of 11 ministries have been revised, and the oversight of numerous state agencies has been reassigned to different portfolios. To enhance efficiency across key sectors—including education, healthcare, social protection, and the economy—relevant departments have been consolidated under their respective ministries. These administrative changes aim to streamline governance and improve the overall functionality of the state.
