
STELCO has reported that the power outages experienced in several towers within Hulhumale’ Phase 2 were caused by damage to a main distribution cable during excavation work. Despite the challenges in providing electricity to the entire area due to this incident, the company’s technical teams are working to restore services by redistributing the load from the damaged cable to alternative networks. While power has already been restored to most towers, STELCO has expressed its sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused as they work to resume services to the remaining locations.
