Today’s Friday sermon highlighted the sanctity and significance of the four sacred months in Islam: Dhul-Qi’dah, Dhul-Hijjah, Muharram, and Rajab. The sermon emphasized that while the rewards for righteous deeds are multiplied during these months, the gravity and consequences of committing sins are also significantly greater.
The sermon urged the faithful to avoid transgressing the boundaries set by Allah and to refrain from wrongdoing against themselves. It called upon the community to be diligent in their worship during these months, encouraging an increase in good deeds such as Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), supplication, reciting the Holy Quran, fasting, and giving charity. Furthermore, the sermon advised distancing oneself from harmful actions such as lying, backbiting, and creating discord among people. Believers were encouraged to strive earnestly to seek the pleasure of Allah and attain Paradise.
