
The Maldives Police Service has confirmed that Indian billionaire Gautam Singhania was aboard the speedboat that capsized near V. Felidhoo late Thursday night. According to the authorities, Singhania sustained minor injuries and has since been discharged after receiving medical treatment.
The vessel, which was traveling at high speed with seven individuals on board, met with the accident resulting in two Indian nationals going missing. Reports indicate that prominent individual Hari Singh is among those currently unaccounted for. Following the incident involving his private speedboat, Singhania has reportedly returned to Mumbai. Meanwhile, the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) is continuing its intensive search and rescue operations to locate the missing persons.
