President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that there will be a significant alleviation of traffic congestion in the Male’ local market area during this year’s Ramadan. The government has modernized a section of Boduthakurufaanu Magu in the market area by widening it and laying asphalt. As part of this project, a portion of the lagoon was reclaimed to widen the road, which has now been opened to the public for two-way traffic. This is a crucial step taken to provide a permanent solution to the difficulties faced by the public due to the heavy traffic congestion in that area during the month of Ramadan.
