Fans Rally Behind Ronaldo Amid Concerns Over League Spending Disparity

Al-Nassr supporters have come out in defense of Cristiano Ronaldo, as the star forward voices his frustrations over what he perceives as preferential treatment towards other clubs by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF). Ronaldo’s dissatisfaction reportedly peaked following rival club Al-Hilal’s acquisition of high-profile players, leading him to allege significant imbalances in how resources are distributed among the league’s top teams. In a clear sign of protest, Ronaldo has reportedly declined to participate in the club’s last two fixtures.

Statistical data highlights a notable gap in investment; since Ronaldo’s arrival, Al-Nassr has spent approximately $409 million, whereas Al-Hilal’s expenditure has exceeded $600 million. While Ronaldo has previously faced scrutiny from the fans, the supporter base is now largely backing his stance. However, concerns remain that if the club does not receive adequate support to strengthen the squad, Ronaldo may consider departing at the end of the current season. In response, Al-Nassr’s management has stated that current financial constraints make further high-profile signings unfeasible at this stage.
