Within the past three months, the government of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has initiated numerous development projects designed to benefit the entire nation. During this period, over 1,800 projects related to housing, road development, essential services, and social services have been launched across various parts of the Maldives. Among these, the President took a historic step by simultaneously awarding 216 projects, slated for implementation in 123 islands, to 153 Maldivian private companies. This initiative will empower Maldivian businesses and create more employment opportunities.

To expand financial services, a project to extend ATM services nationwide has been launched, aiming to install over 250 ATMs by the end of 2025, ensuring easy access to banking services for people in the islands. Furthermore, the new terminal at Velana International Airport (VIA) has been completed and is now operational. This marks a crucial step in maintaining the Maldives’ position as a world-class tourism hub. President Muizzu’s 20-year master plan lays a strong foundation for sustainable development.

The achievements of these three months demonstrate that President Muizzu is a leader bringing revolutionary change to the Maldives, and his government is writing a new chapter of pride and progress.
