President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the attack by the Jewish state on Qatar’s capital Doha is an attack on the entire Islamic Ummah. He said this in his statement at the emergency meeting of Arab and Islamic countries currently underway in Qatar. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, participating in the emergency meeting of Arab and Islamic countries, strongly condemned the attack on Qatar. He said that Qatar was playing the role of a mediator in establishing peace in the Palestinian issue. He added that the work being done by that country should be recognized and appreciated, and that this is not something that should be met with dissatisfaction and violence.

He stated that this attack is not just an attack on Qatar, but an attack on the entire Arab Islamic Ummah. “This emergency summit we are holding today is not just because of the attack on Qatar. This is an attack on all Arab countries and the entire Islamic Ummah. I am grateful that such a meeting is being held. Today, this meeting is to show that we stand united against cruelty and injustice,” said the President.

The President noted that Israel continues to kill doctors, journalists, humanitarian aid workers, and countless civilians in Gaza without hesitation, turning Gaza into rubble. He also emphasized the need for strict measures against Israel in these matters.

At this meeting, the President called for the implementation of international laws and taking action against Israel. In this regard, he called for establishing justice and taking action through international laws against the violent acts being carried out by the Jewish state, and to seek justice for the people of Palestine. Additionally, he called for political, economic, and collective action by countries against the Jewish state. He noted that while countries like Qatar and Yemen are being attacked by Israel, such attacks should not be endured by a single country alone.

“No country in this Ummah should have to endure such attacks alone. The world needs to stand up. This is not an issue between two countries. This is a stand to stop the violation of laws. A stand to establish justice and against intimidation,” said the President. In his speech, he called for standing together as one Ummah against such attacks. He also noted that although the Maldives is a small country, it will always stand against injustice. The President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu also called for making this summit one that demonstrates action more than just words.
