This is a 9.7% increase compared to the 1,386,554 tourists who visited during the same period last year. Currently, an average of over 6,000 tourists arrive in the Maldives daily. The government aims to bring 2.3 million tourists to the Maldives this year. To achieve this target, an additional 800,000 tourists are needed. With the arrival of 1.5 million tourists to the Maldives, the Ministry of Tourism stated that they are optimistic about achieving this year’s target.
