In the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Russia has launched an unprecedented powerful attack on Ukraine, causing significant damage to Ukraine’s main government building. Ukraine reported that four people, including a child, were killed in the Russian attack. The attack caused a fire in the main government building. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said this was the first time the main government building in the capital Kyiv had been targeted since the war began. The Ukrainian Air Force stated that Russia used 805 drones and 13 missiles in its latest attacks. This is the highest number of drones Russia has used for an attack since the war began. Ukraine claims to have shot down 751 drones and four missiles.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that four people were killed in the Russian attack using drones and missiles, and that damage was inflicted on the country’s northern, southern, and eastern regions. These include the areas of Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, Odesa, as well as Sumy and Chernihiv regions. Residential buildings in these areas were damaged in the attacks. In a post on X, Zelenskyy said that Russia’s killing of people in this manner, when peace could have been achieved long ago, is a deliberate crime and an effort to prolong the war. He has appealed to Ukraine’s allied countries to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses.
