Addu City: The police have begun investigating an incident of violence that occurred last night between two Maldivian women who had just watched a Maldivian film screened at Villa College in Hithadhoo. A video that has gone viral on social media shows two young Maldivian women physically attacking each other. The footage also shows other women approaching to separate them. The person who shared this video on social media stated that the two women had engaged in a fight after watching the Maldivian film “Kanbulo”.
Regarding this incident, the police today said that a case of violence on Canary Street in Hithadhoo was reported to them around 22:45 last night. The police added that they are investigating the matter but did not provide any further details.
