National team announced with Ilan and Raaid included

Two young team players, Mohamed Ilan Imran and Hassan Raaid, have been included in the national football team squad assembled for the South Asian Super Cup to be held in Sri Lanka. The Football Association of Maldives (FAM) has announced the list of players selected for the preliminary squad of the Maldives senior men’s national team, which is set to participate in the South Asian Super Cup 2025 football tournament scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka from September 4-10. Among the newly included players, Ilan is a player from Maziya Sports and Recreation. Both Ilan and Raaid are skilled players from the Maldives youth national team.

The FAM states that the national team’s training sessions in preparation for the matches in Sri Lanka will begin on Friday night at the National Football Stadium. The national team will prepare for the Sri Lanka tournament under the guidance of Mohamed Shiyaz (Mohan), who has recently been appointed as the head coach of the national team.
