President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that he aims to visit all the remaining islands he has not yet visited within the next two months. He said this while speaking to the people of Nolhivaranfaru in HDh. Atoll during his ongoing trip to the atoll. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said that in every island, he learns about the needs of the people directly from them, and that permanent solutions to these issues are being implemented. The President said that the result of this is that things are happening exactly as the people want.
“In this trip, as well as before, in other islands, I am continuing to do this. God willing, we have made a schedule to visit and meet with the people of all inhabited islands in the Maldives within the next two months. That is the goal,” said the President. The President said that by going to the people and understanding their needs, practical work on a large percentage of the promises he has made will begin this year. He also said that the remaining work will begin next year. He added that the budget has been arranged accordingly.

“This year and next year are the two years when practical work on fulfilling promises will begin and many projects will be completed,” said the President. The President said that all his passion is focused on delivering results. He also said that the government is working to achieve what the people want.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has been systematically visiting islands across the Maldives and meeting with the people. In each island, he meets with the island council, the Women’s Development Committee members, and heads of all institutions. After that, he meets with the general public. The President has also said that this is the easiest way to implement projects in the islands.
Over the past year and a half, the President has met with almost all councils in the Maldives. He has also met with some councils more than once.
