Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso has stated that he does not think at all about how Spain’s most competitive club, Barcelona, started the season.
Of these two teams, Barcelona has won both matches they have played so far. Real Madrid barely won their only match.
Regarding this, Coach Xabi Alonso said that he doesn’t think about Barcelona’s affairs.
“I’m not worried about being (behind Barcelona). I’m concerned about not being able to do what we need to do every day. We’re improving match by match,” Alonso said.
He also said that Barcelona is the most recent champion of the Spanish League and that Real Madrid will do everything necessary to reach that position.
However, in the view of many Spanish journalists, Real Madrid hasn’t shown much improvement since Alonso took over. He took charge of the team after Real finished the previous season without winning any trophies. In contrast, Barcelona won three trophies last season. Despite financial issues causing problems in registering players, Barcelona’s results have been very good.
Barcelona has brought in three new players for the new season. Among them, Rony is still not registered. However, all the players who joined Real Madrid have been registered.
