World Champions Chelsea come from behind to defeat West Ham

In last night’s English Premier League match, Chelsea came from behind to defeat West Ham United with a score of 5-1. The match was played at West Ham’s London Stadium. During the warm-up for the match, Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer suffered an injury and did not play in this match. Chelsea dominated possession for much of the game. In the sixth minute, West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta scored a goal, giving his team the lead. This was his first goal for West Ham since returning from suspension due to a betting issue. However, nine minutes later, João Pedro scored to equalize the match. This was his first Premier League goal since joining Chelsea.

Chelsea’s second goal came in the 23rd minute when Pedro Neto scored from a João Pedro assist. With 11 minutes left in the first half, Enzo Fernández scored from an Estevão Willian assist, changing the score to 3-1. Nine minutes into the second half, Moisés Caicedo scored another goal, widening the gap between the two teams. Four minutes later, Trevor Chalobah scored, securing Chelsea’s first win of the season.

After the match, Chelsea’s coach Enzo Maresca said he was very satisfied with the result. He also mentioned that Cole Palmer wasn’t fully fit even fit even before the match, and with the incident during the warm-up, they didn’t want to take any additional risks, which is why he didn’t play in this match.
