Hamas, the governing group in Gaza, has agreed to a 60-day ceasefire and the release of some Jewish hostages under their custody. Negotiations to end the aggressive attacks initiated by the Jews on October 7, 2023, to ethnically cleanse the Palestinian people of Gaza are ongoing with the assistance of Egypt, Qatar, and the United States. The latest proposal by mediators Egypt and Qatar includes a 60-day pause in hostilities and the release of half of the Jewish hostages held by Hamas. In exchange, it proposes the release of some Palestinian prisoners from Jewish jails. It also suggests developing a detailed framework for ending the war.
This proposal is is very similar to one previously presented by Steve Witkov, the U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East appointed by President Donald Trump. The Jews had accepted Witkov’s proposal at that time. Bassam Naim, a senior Hamas official, has confirmed via Facebook that Hamas has accepted the latest proposal. Hamas stated that other Palestinian factions also agree with the proposal, however, the Jews have not yet commented on it.
The Jews are planning to bring the entire Gaza under their complete control. The international community continues to express concern over the Jews’ deceitful plans. On August 17, large demonstrations were held in Zionist Israeli settlements, calling for an immediate end to the genocide of Gaza’s people and an agreement to release the hostages held by Hamas. These were the largest demonstrations held in Zionist Israeli settlements in the past two years against the Gaza genocide.
As the Jews prepare for a ground offensive, thousands of residents from eastern Gaza areas are relocating to western and southern regions before such attacks begin. The Jews have significantly increased their attacks on eastern Gaza areas. In the Jewish-led genocide in Gaza, over 61,000 people have been martyred and thousands have been injured so far. Due to the Jews’ refusal to allow food and aid supplies into Gaza, 263 people have died of starvation, including 112 children.
