Hawkes, a company providing fuel and logistics services in the Maldives, has brought in one of its largest oil tankers. This is also the largest oil tanker operated by any private company to date.

Hawkes stated that with the acquisition of the 25.4 metric ton capacity oil tanker ‘Liberty’, the company has added another vessel to its fleet. The company said this is a significant advancement for them and evidence of their efforts to meet the fuel needs of the Maldives. Hawkes further stated that this oil tanker has increased their capacity to adequately supply fuel to their service recipients.

Additionally, Hawkes mentioned that this tanker would enhance the trust between customers and the company, and increase the company’s visibility in international markets. Hawkes, established 18 years ago in 2007, currently operates 11 oil tankers, 15 barges, and 20 bowsers, while providing services from 15 fuel sheds across different regions of the Maldives.
