Pakistan’s military has reported that it has killed 50 individuals associated with militant groups operating in the area near the Afghan border during a military operation conducted over the past four days. The military operation, which began last Thursday, resulted in these militants being killed in the southwestern province of Balochistan, according to the Pakistani military.

Balochistan is a turbulent region where militant groups are active in Pakistan. The area sees activity from both the Pakistani Taliban and the banned Baloch Liberation Army. Separatist groups seek independence from Pakistan’s central government. Although the Pakistani government claims to have largely suppressed attacks and unrest in the region, violence and bloodshed continue to occur in the area.

Pakistan consistently accuses Afghanistan’s Taliban government of not doing enough to curb militants operating near the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan. However, Afghanistan denies these allegations.
