
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the construction of a handball court, which is noted as a sport of particular interest to women, will begin very soon in Thulusdhoo. The President made this statement during his speech when he met with the residents of Thulusdhoo today, as part of his ongoing tour of South Maalhosmadulu Atoll. The President said that a handball court is something the people of Thulusdhoo greatly desire.
“In the sports sector, I would like to highlight that, God willing, we will very soon begin the project of building a handball court, which is recognized as a sport of special interest to women and is something the women of this island greatly desire,” the President said. In addition to the handball court, the President stated that work on constructing a large futsal field in Thulusdhoo will also commence this year. The President said that instead of the current futsal field in Thulusdhoo, a new, larger-sized field will be built on the island.
