President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the practical work on four sports projects will be initiated in B. Fehendhoo this year. The President said this during his speech while meeting with the residents of Fehendhoo today, as part of his ongoing trip to South Maalhosmadulu Atoll. The President mentioned that among the sports-related initiatives planned for Fehendhoo, the construction of a fully-equipped football field will commence this year.
Furthermore, the President stated that they will renovate the futsal pitch, construct a volleyball court, and establish a fitness and recreation center in the island. He added that work on these projects will begin within this year. “We will start four projects this year, God willing: constructing a full-size football field with all amenities including lighting, renovating the existing futsal pitch, building a volleyball court, and establishing a fitness and recreation center,” the President said.
Additionally, the President mentioned that an outdoor gym will be installed, and this work will also commence this year.
