
India’s renowned construction company, VCL Group, has inaugurated its luxury apartment residence project “Blue Lagoon” in the Maldives. The project, located in Hulhumalé Phase 2, was inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Ali Haidar, along with the company’s Chairman Varinda Garg and the Indian High Commissioner to the Maldives.
At the ceremony held at Jen Hotel, VCL Group’s Chairman Varinda Garg stated that the company has successfully completed numerous projects in India. He noted that since the inception of VCL Group, they have envisioned expanding their operations beyond India, with their first global project being in Mauritius.

Garg emphasized that VCL Group prioritizes timely completion and maintaining quality standards in all their projects.
What is Blue Lagoon?
VCL Group’s “Blue Lagoon” is designed by Hafeez Contractor, one of India’s most famous architecture firms. It is designed with spacious apartments and numerous amenities for relaxation. The apartments will receive ample natural light. The rooftop will feature a large swimming pool, garden, and a dedicated barbecue area. The building will also include a daycare center, children’s play area, multi-purpose hall, movie theater, and a gym. A 15,000 square foot clubhouse is also planned for the building.
This two-tower structure will be one of the largest of its kind in the Maldives. To ensure privacy, there will be separate lobby entrances and six elevators in each tower.

“Blue Lagoon” will consist of 1,035 sq ft two-bedroom apartments, 1,280 sq ft two-bedroom apartments, 1,340 sq ft 2+1 bedroom apartments, and 1,795, 1,825, and 1,875 sq ft three-bedroom apartments. The starting price for the 1,035 sq ft two-bedroom apartments is 3.6 million rufiyaa. The 1,280 sq ft two-bedroom apartments start at 3.9 million rufiyaa. The future 1,340 sq ft 2+1 bedroom apartments will start at 4.5 million rufiyaa. The 1,795, 1,825, and 1,875 sq ft three-bedroom apartments will start at 6.1 million rufiyaa.
“Blue Lagoon” is one of the latest residential projects by VCL Group in various countries across the Indian Ocean region. Since 1987, the company has developed residential complexes, malls, hospitals, and roads. VCL is also the company that worked on the 11 towers assigned to NBCC by Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation as part of the housing project in Hulhumalé Phase 2.
