Mohamed Zahid, the President of the Elections Commission, has announced that 72% of eligible voters participated in the supplemental round of the Local Council and Women’s Development Committee elections. Highlighting the smooth conduct of the process, Zahid noted that no complaints were filed by the conclusion of the polls. He further observed that public engagement in this instance was significantly higher than what is typically seen in by-elections. The voting, which took place across five constituencies, officially closed at 4:00 PM.
