In his official address on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu emphasized that the conclusion of the holy month of Ramadan should not mark the end of one’s religious commitments. Instead, he highlighted that observing the six voluntary fasts of Shawwal serves as a renewed invitation to remain steadfast in worship. While celebrating Eid with the hope that our Ramadan fasts and prayers have been accepted, the President urged the public to praise Allah, extend assistance to the underprivileged, and strengthen the bonds of unity and brotherly love within the Muslim community.
Furthermore, the President’s message stressed the importance of adhering to Islamic principles during Eid celebrations and maintaining the patience and noble character cultivated during Ramadan throughout the entire year. He also called upon everyone to remember our brothers and sisters suffering in Palestine and across the Muslim Ummah, encouraging sincere prayers for their peace, safety, and ultimate victory.
