
The SIDS Global Business Network Forum, focusing on the trade and economy of Small Island Developing States, has officially commenced in Male’. This biennial forum, marking its 10th anniversary this year, features the participation of over 200 delegates from more than 30 countries. The primary objective of the forum is to address the economic challenges faced by small island nations, promote trade and investment, and facilitate the exchange of expertise across various sectors. The decision to host this year’s forum in the Maldives follows the proactive initiatives of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. This opportunity strengthens the Maldives’ influential role in the international arena on behalf of small nations and showcases the country as a successful model for development.
