The Minister of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation, Abdulla Rafiu, has stated that the majority support received by the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) from the ballot boxes placed in Hithadhoo during the Hithadhoo North constituency by-election is a clear testament to the public’s acceptance of the government’s efforts.
Despite the MDP candidate, Abdulla Sodiq, securing overall victory according to the preliminary results, Minister Rafiu highlighted the PNC candidate’s lead in the Hithadhoo polling stations as a significant achievement. Furthermore, the Minister assured that even though the campaign has concluded, the development projects initiated for the constituency will continue to proceed at an accelerated pace.
