State Trading Organization (STO) has announced that 10kg cooking gas cylinders are now available to the public through Maldives Gas, following the arrival of a fresh shipment. This restoration of standard supply follows a temporary period where sales were restricted to 5kg cylinders due to a surge in demand.
As the government strives to ensure the uninterrupted provision of essential services amidst global market fluctuations, efforts are also underway to enhance the country’s reserves. This includes the development of a new 1500-metric-ton storage facility in the Male’ region, aimed at significantly increasing gas storage capacity and ensuring long-term energy security.
