The Maldives has recorded over 600,000 tourist arrivals so far this year, marking a 14.5% increase compared to the same period last year. According to statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, China remains the top source market for visitors. Currently, the Maldives offers a bed capacity of over 62,000 across 1,180 operational facilities, with the majority of tourists opting to stay in resorts. In addition to China, the top source markets during this period include Russia, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany.
