
During the inauguration ceremony of the new office building at Asseyri Prison, the Minister of Homeland Security and Technology, Ali Ihsan, emphasized the importance of equipping inmates with the necessary skills to establish their own companies upon their reintegration into society. The Minister specifically highlighted the need to develop expertise among inmates in fields such as construction and project management.
The newly inaugurated office building was constructed through the joint efforts of prison officers and inmates. In addition to the opening, the ceremony featured the laying of the foundation stone for a new prison kitchen and the awarding of certificates to inmates who successfully completed various vocational and religious programs. Furthermore, the Minister officially launched a futsal tournament organized for the inmates.
