This year’s Eid al-Adha prayers were held in large congregations at four designated locations within the Greater Malé area, as well as in various islands across the atolls. In addition to these major outdoor gatherings, Eid prayers were also conducted in 25 mosques in the capital region, drawing a significant number of worshippers. A notable highlight of this year’s Eid prayer was the participation of young Imams, trained under the government’s “Young Khatibs” program, who led the prayers in several locations.
