Nine Western nations, including the United Kingdom and France, have issued a joint demand for Israel to cease the expansion of settlements in the West Bank. In a unified statement, these countries underscored that such activities constitute a direct violation of international law and vehemently condemned the ongoing violence perpetrated against the Palestinian people.
Furthermore, the coalition urged private corporations to abstain from participating in settlement-related projects and called for the immediate removal of measures that obstruct the Palestinian economy. The statement expressed grave concern over the Israeli government’s current policies, noting that they severely undermine the prospects of establishing a sovereign Palestinian state and continue to escalate tensions in the region.
