Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has officially inaugurated the “Addu Regional Free Zone” at the Hithadhoo Regional Port and is now inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from parties seeking to secure space within the zone.
Aligned with the President’s economic vision, this project represents a significant milestone in the strategic development of the southern region’s economy. The Free Zone is designed to offer a range of specialized services, including duty-free warehousing, re-export facilities, and vehicle refurbishment operations.
To facilitate these activities, 1.7 hectares of land have been specifically designated at Hithadhoo Port. Interested businesses and investors are invited to submit their proposals by the deadline of June 11.
