
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has departed for the United Kingdom to participate in high-level meetings and events. He is accompanied by a high-level delegation from the Maldives.
During this trip, the President will participate in meetings aimed at further strengthening the relationship between the Maldives and the United Kingdom. These meetings will focus on discussions about governance, climate and environmental issues, as well as enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, and education sectors. Additionally, the President is scheduled to attend a business forum in London.
The President’s Office stated that this visit will further solidify the relationship between the Maldives and the United Kingdom, which is built on a foundation of mutual respect and trust between the two nations.
Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and the United Kingdom were officially established on July 26, 1965. This year marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
