In response to the inhumane aggression carried out by the Zionist state in Gaza, Palestine, Yemen’s Houthis have launched missile attacks, resulting in the temporary closure of Israel’s main airport and suspension of air travel. Media reports state that Ben Gurion International Airport, Israel’s primary airport, has been closed and flights suspended following ballistic missile attacks by the Houthis targeting the airport. However, it is not yet clear whether these attacks caused any damage to the airport or resulted in any casualties.
A statement released by the Zionist military forces claimed that missiles launched from Yemen were intercepted by their defense systems. These attacks come about a week after the Yemeni military claimed responsibility for ballistic missiles aimed at Ben Gurion International Airport. Yemeni military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree stated that they had conducted a special military operation targeting Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport using a hypersonic ballistic missile.
He also claimed that the “successful” attacks had disrupted flights at the airport. Additionally, he mentioned that drone attacks were carried out targeting other important Zionist areas. Yemen has been strategically launching attacks to obstruct the sea and air routes used to supply weapons for the Zionist aggression aimed at the genocide of Gaza’s population.
Yemen continues to state that the purpose of these attacks is to open the world’s eyes to the dire situation currently faced by Gaza and to pressure for increased efforts to stop the Zionist terrorist state. The Yemeni military has warned that they will continue to attack Israel as long as the aggressive attacks on Gaza do not cease.
