The Israeli military and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have announced that Israeli forces have recovered the bodies of three hostages held by Hamas, the governing group in Gaza, Palestine. The bodies include those of two civilians and one soldier. The Israelis claim these three individuals were among those killed during the Hamas attack on October 7.

Hamas took 251 Israelis hostage during their jihadi attack, launched in response to unbearable Israeli aggression. Under a previous agreement between Hamas and Israel, Hamas has released many hostages. So far, 199 hostages have been freed, of which 148 were released alive. It is believed that Hamas still holds about 50 hostages, with approximately 20 thought to be alive. Hamas states that many hostages in their custody have died due to relentless terrorist attacks by Israeli forces. Hamas continues to reiterate that they are ready to release hostages if Israel permanently ceases aggression and frees Palestinian citizens from Israeli prisons.

In retaliation for the October 7 attack, Israeli forces launched a genocide campaign against Gaza’s residents on the same day. Although a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, which came into effect on January 19, temporarily halted the exchange of attacks, Israel violated this agreement and resumed attacks on Gaza on March 18. Gaza residents report that the current attacks are particularly intense. In the past 24 hours alone, Israelis have martyred 51 Gaza residents. The total number of people martyred in Israeli aggressive attacks has now risen to 56,000, with an additional 131,242 people injured. The majority of these are innocent women and children.
