Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed has stated that it has been decided to entrust the construction of a large modern mosque in Vilimale to a party that has expressed interest. The Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed said that a well-wishing party has expressed interest in building a large modern mosque at the site of the historic Masjid As-Salaam mosque in Vilimale, and it has been decided to entrust the construction of the mosque to that party.
The Minister Dr. Shaheem also said that it has been decided to entrust the construction of the mosque to that party with the condition that the work will be completed and handed over within 2 years. In addition, the Minister said that the new mosque to be built at the site of Masjid As-Salaam will include classrooms for teaching Quran and other academic purposes. The development and renovation of mosques in different regions of the country are works that the government is carrying out with special priority.
