The attacks targeted facilities used in Iran’s nuclear program, military centers, and senior military commanders. Those killed in the Israeli attacks include senior commander of Iran’s powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Hossein Salami and senior general of the military Mohammad Bagheri. Additionally, six senior scientists working on Iran’s nuclear program were killed.
The Israeli forces also claimed to have killed the IRGC Aerospace Force commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh, but this has not been confirmed by any official Iranian agency. Ali Shamkhani, a senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was also targeted in the Israeli attacks.

Israeli military aircraft entered Iranian airspace and began attacks at around 1:30 AM Iran time. Over 100 military aircraft were used in these attacks, including the latest F-35 aircraft made in the USA, which have stealth capabilities.
Israeli military aircraft launched dangerous attacks on eight areas of Iran five times. The attacks targeted facilities used in the nuclear program, military centers, and senior military commanders. The targeted areas include the capital Tehran, Natanz and Isfahan in the south, Tabriz in the northwest, Arak in the southwest, and Kermanshah in the west. Among these, the facility in Natanz is the main center for uranium enrichment under Iran’s nuclear program.

Iranian state media revealed that senior military officials and some scientists working on the nuclear program were killed in the Israeli attacks. This included the military chief Major General Mohammad Mohammad Bagheri, IRGC senior commander General Hossein Salami, and the head of Iran’s military headquarters General Gholam Ali Rashid.

Iran began taking measures after 2:30 AM in response to the Israeli attacks. The first measures included closing Tehran’s main military airport and activating the air defense system.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that they had launched attacks on Iran. He described it as a preemptive measure to protect Israel from the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear program. Netanyahu said they would continue the attacks against Iran without interruption.

Reports of powerful explosions came from various parts of Iran, including the capital Tehran. There were also reports of fires at nuclear facilities in Natanz and Khavandab.

The US State Department announced that they had prior information about Israel’s plan to attack Iran. The US is Israel’s biggest supporter.

Iran revealed that it was preparing to launch dangerous retaliatory attacks on Israel. A senior Iranian military official said on TV that the Iranian military was preparing to launch retaliatory attacks on Israel using dangerous weapons like ballistic missiles.

Around 6:30 AM Iran time, Israeli forces launched additional attacks on various parts of Iran. These attacks targeted missile launch sites and areas where transportation and weapons were stored, according to Israeli forces.

Between 6:30 AM and 9:30 AM Iran time, Iran’s powerful forces began launching attacks targeting Israel. The initial attacks used about 100 military drones. However, many of these drones were intercepted and shot down by Israeli forces.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) released a statement regarding Iran’s nuclear program. The IAEA said they had attempted to inspect Iran’s nuclear facilities on June 12 but were obstructed by Iran.

Jordan’s military revealed that they had intercepted and shot down some Iranian military drones headed towards Israel. The Jordanian military said the drones were shot down for entering their airspace without permission.

Iran issued another strong warning to Israel. The Iranian military said there would be no “limits” in their retaliatory attacks against Israel and that no means or weapons would be off-limits.
