
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has expressed gratitude to the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah for the perfect hospitality provided by the Saudi Arabian government to Maldivian pilgrims who went for Hajj this year. The President is in Saudi Arabia on a special invitation from the Saudi government to perform Hajj, and the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, paid a courtesy call on him today. During this visit, the two discussed arrangements for this year’s Hajj.
In this meeting, President Dr. Muizzu expressed gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the closeness and complete service provided by the Saudi government to Maldivian pilgrims. The President noted that the inclusion of the Maldives in Saudi Arabia’s Makkah Route Initiative this year was a great relief for the travel of Maldivian pilgrims and thanked the Saudi government for their perfect hospitality.
The President also met with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz yesterday. During this meeting, the two discussed strengthening relations between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia. They also exchanged ideas on how to strengthen the brotherly relations between the two countries in a way that benefits both nations.
