172 deaths from cholera in Sudan in just one week

The Ministry of Health has revealed that cholera, a dangerous waterborne disease, is spreading rapidly in various parts of Sudan, with 172 people dying from the disease in the past week. The ministry said that 2,700 cases of the disease have been identified in the country during disease have been identified in the country during that period. The Ministry of Health said that the RSF has launched dangerous attacks on centers that provide electricity and clean drinking water to residents in the capital, Khartoum. The ministry also said that cholera is spreading in the southern, central, and northern regions of the country in addition to the capital, Khartoum. Cholera is an ‘endemic’ or commonly spreading disease in Sudan. However, the Ministry of Health revealed that the spread of the disease has increased and fallen into a dangerous state since the start of the civil war. The ministry also said that the country’s water and sewage system has suffered significant damage due to the war.

On May 27 alone, 51 people died from the disease. And in the past three weeks, an additional 2,300 cases of the disease have been identified. 90% of those are residents of the capital, Khartoum. Analysts said that over the past month, the RSF has launched drone attacks on Khartoum, with many of the attacks targeting public service centers. They also said that three power plants were damaged in these attacks. Doctors Without Borders (MSF), an international organization working to provide health care services to the people of Sudan, said that the RSF attacks have damaged Khartoum’s electricity grid as well as the system used to provide clean drinking water. They also said that there is currently no way for the residents of Khartoum to get clean drinking water.

Cholera is a dangerous disease that spreads through contaminated water and food due to a bacteria. It is a disease that can be life-threatening if medical treatment is not provided immediately. However, it is a disease that can be controlled by establishing clean drinking water and sanitation services and using medication. The World Health Organization (WHO) said that Sudan’s health system has been weakened by the civil war.
