
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has said that corruption is something he wants to end without any question. He said this while speaking at the ceremony held to inaugurate the changes brought to brought to the Hulhumalé Development Master Plan by HDC and the company’s new website. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said that HDC’s new website is a gateway to ensure a system of good governance. He said that changes are being made to the government’s administrative system and that these changes are being made to create an environment that is transparent and free of corruption. The President also said that HDC is already seeing the benefits of this.
The President said that he wants companies, ministries, and institutions to be run transparently and free from corruption. He said that everyone together needs to say no to corruption and that he wants to end such things without any question and without giving any opportunity to his knowledge.
“We have come here wearing ties to work as entrusted by the people. We are doing these things for the people. We benefit our lives when we receive a salary. However, that salary, that income, must be something earned in a good way. It should not become an opportunity to acquire things outside of that,” the President said. The President said that the quality of services provided to the people can only be improved by freeing the system of governance from the plague of corruption. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu also noted the cooperation given by government institutions in this regard.
