President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the HDC’s master plan will pave the way for realizing his vision of shaping Hulhumalé as a financial capital. He said this while speaking at the ceremony held to introduce the revised master plan of Hulhumalé and HDC’s new website. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said that developing Hulhumalé as a financial capital is something he very much desires. He also said that the master plan prepared by HDC is a plan that will facilitate the development projects he intends to carry out in Hulhumalé and the integrated development of all three phases of Hulhumalé together with the financial center.
The President said that this is a master plan that will ensure sustainable development with a long-term vision. Therefore, the President called for everyone to align their thinking and work together to make this plan a reality. “Just as Male’ has established the administrative seat of government, I want Hulhumalé to complement it by becoming the financial seat. This is the sustainable, integrated development I desire most. The International Financial Center project we introduced here recently will, God willing, be a transformative work in making this a reality,” said the President.
The President said that HDC’s master plan will create a satisfying environment for the residents of Hulhumalé. He also said that such an environment has not yet been created in Male’ and that the development of Hulhumalé should proceed by learning from those lessons. Additionally, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu assured that all the promises he has made regarding the development of Hulhumalé will be fulfilled through the collaborative efforts of HDC and government institutions.
