Spain’s Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares has called for strict measures against Jews to pressure them to stop the genocide being carried out against the people of Gaza in Palestine. He made these remarks at a meeting of ‘The Madrid Group’ held in the Spanish capital Madrid. The meeting was attended by high-level representatives from the European Union (EU) and Arab countries. Speaking at the meeting, Albares said that the international community needs to seriously consider taking harsh restrictive measures against Jews in order to pressure them to stop the ongoing genocide against the people of Gaza. He also called on the Zionists to immediately stop the crimes being committed to martyr and starve the Palestinian people.

The fifth meeting of the Madrid Group was held on May 25. With the expansion of the Jewish genocide, many EU member states that are considered their supporters are now expressing dissatisfaction and condemning the inhumane crimes of the Jews. The number of EU countries calling for an end to the aggression is also increasing. On March 2, Jewish forces blocked the entry of food and humanitarian aid supplies into Gaza. They also stopped the entry of fuel needed to run power plants and generators, as well as for land vehicles, in addition to other supplies needed for medical treatment. The entire international community considers this a crime being carried out to deliberately starve and martyr hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza.

As the international community pressured to lift the Gaza blockade, the Jews allowed a small amount of food and humanitarian aid supplies to enter Gaza last week. The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described it as a “drop in the bucket” of what is needed for the starving people of Gaza.

“Aggression without any aim”

Albares said the purpose of holding an important meeting of the Madrid Group was to “end the war without any aim” by the Jews. Representatives from 20 countries including the EU and Arab countries participated in the meeting. Many international organizations also participated. “At this tragic moment, in the humanitarian catastrophe facing Gaza, our aim is to bring an end to the war, and to pressure for the lifting of the blockade and allow humanitarian aid supplies to enter without any obstacles,” Albares said.

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa also participated in the meeting held in Madrid. He also called for an end to the genocide being carried out to starve and martyr the people of Gaza. And he called on the international community to pressure for this. Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Ghaty said the Zionists lack the political will to stop the Gaza aggression. “That is the biggest problem. However, we continue to work tirelessly, exert pressures, and push for an end to the aggressions,” he said.

Another important topic discussed at the meeting in Madrid was the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. In this regard, preparations were made for the high-level meeting scheduled to be held by the UN on June 17 to discuss the establishment of an independent Palestinian state. The meeting is being organized jointly by France and Saudi Arabia.
