PSG has won the French Cup championship, increasing their chances of winning three tournaments this season. PSG won the French Cup by defeating Reims 3-0 in last night’s match. Of the three goals PSG scored in this match, Bradley Barcola scored two goals while Achraf Hakimi scored the third goal. All three goals were scored in the first half of the match.
While PSG won the French Cup championship last night, they have already secured the League 1 championship with four matches remaining. Therefore, if they win the UEFA Champions League final match against Italy’s Inter Milan next Saturday night, they will have the opportunity to win three tournaments this season. Previously, only 10 clubs have won the league championship, domestic cup, and Champions League in a single season.
As PSG enters the Champions League final, their coach Luis Enrique will be aiming for his second treble in a single season. He previously achieved this feat with Barcelona in 2015. So far, the only coach to win three tournaments twice in a single season is Manchester City’s current coach Pep Guardiola.
