Islamic Ministry consults with Salaf regarding Ramadan activities

The Islamic Ministry has consulted with Jamiyyathul Salaf regarding some activities conducted during the month of Ramadan. The consultation took place during a meeting held today between the Islamic Minister Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed and senior officials of Jamiyyathul Salaf.

The Ministry said that the meeting, which took place at the ministry today, was attended by senior officials of the ministry, the President of Jamiyyathul Salaf Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohamed Ibrahim, the President of the Scholars’ Council of the association Sheikh Ahmed Sameer, and other senior members of the association.

The Ministry stated that the meeting discussed providing assistance for various activities conducted by the association during the month of Ramadan, similar to previous years.

Accordingly, discussions were held regarding the mosque lecture programs conducted by the association during Ramadan, setting up iftar meals in mosques, and observing i’tikaf (spiritual retreat) in mosques. The Ministry also said that during the meeting, the Minister assured that the ministry would provide full cooperation for the activities conducted by Jamiyyathul Salaf during Ramadan.
