A special first bilateral consultation meeting has been held for the Azerbaijani delegation visiting the Maldives. This delegation is visiting as a follow-up to the high-level discussions held during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s trip to Baku to participate in COP29 last November.
In a statement released by the Foreign Ministry, it was said that the ministry successfully held an information forum to showcase investment opportunities in various sectors of the Maldives to the high-level delegation visiting from Azerbaijan.
The delegation, led by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, includes government officials and representatives from prominent Azerbaijani companies. This forum is one of the highlights of the delegation’s visit to the Maldives from January 13 to 16, 2025. The presentations mainly focused on sector-specific investment opportunities.
The delegation includes senior officials from relevant ministries of the Azerbaijani government, executives from Azerbaijan’s Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), and representatives from the private sector. During this visit, the delegation is also scheduled to consult with relevant ministries of the Maldivian government and explore investment opportunities in the Maldives.
