Speaking at the inaugural session of the People’s National Congress (PNC) Senate, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, who also serves as the party’s President, stated that as the nation’s largest and most responsible political party, the PNC will always prioritize the national interest. Highlighting the party’s significant growth from 3,000 members in 2023 to 80,000 members today, the President emphasized that the party’s core principles are founded on stability, development, and security. Furthermore, he called upon all members to work cohesively towards national progress under a clear “Pro-Nation” agenda, while ensuring that no space is given to political discord. The party’s congress, attended by delegates from across the Maldives, will continue until the 18th of this month.
