Maldivian’s Deputy Managing Director, Ali Saleem, has announced that the acquisition of two modern seaplanes will facilitate the commencement of night flight operations. These DHC-6 Twin Otter Classic 300-G aircraft, purchased from a Canadian manufacturer, are equipped with advanced technology that supports both night-time navigation and amphibious (wheel-based) operations. With the current seaplane fleet consisting of 11 aircraft, the addition of these new models is expected to significantly enhance the company’s operational capacity and efficiency.
