President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has officially inaugurated Maldives Premier Bank, the ninth licensed commercial bank to commence operations in the Maldives. During the ceremony, the President launched the bank’s services, its inaugural branch, as well as its mobile application and internet banking portal.
Speaking at the launching event of the bank, which is tailored to serve both individual and corporate clients, the Governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority, Ahmed Munawar, highlighted ongoing efforts to encourage Maldivian investors to enter the banking sector. Chairperson of Maldives Premier Bank, Aishah Noorain Janah, expressed her vision for the bank to significantly contribute to the growth and development of the nation’s economy.
Furthermore, commemorative plaques were presented to the President and the bank’s technical partners during the ceremony.
