President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has met with the Utheemu Island Council and heads of local institutions, providing firm assurances that obstacles to the island’s development will be removed and sustainable solutions will be sought for the issues faced by the community. During the meeting, the Council highlighted several key priorities, including the need to expedite the harbor and mosque projects, as well as the completion of the State House, sports courts, and the new Council administrative building. Furthermore, the Council expressed concerns regarding the shortage of nurses and other staff at the Health Center. The President stated that he would closely monitor these matters to ensure they are addressed. Additionally, the Cabinet Ministers in attendance shared the latest updates and progress reports regarding ongoing developmental projects on the island with the Council members.
